If you’ve landed on this website, you may be searching for help because you’re finding it hard to function in your daily life due to paralyzing fear. You may be wondering how you, as someone who believes in and follows Jesus, could be so fearful. You used to feel so close to God but you now feel so far away. You now feel like a shell of your former self, a stranger in your own body and mind. It’s possible that you feel like you’ll never feel normal again.

Perhaps you find yourself snapping at your husband and children, and fuzzy and unable to focus in order to complete tasks. Your daily functioning has dropped astonishingly low. You now feel like a failure and have become someone who is fearful of everything all the time. You’re exhausted.

Maybe you have terrifying intrusive thoughts that stay with you and trouble you. You find yourself ruminating over them and googling things that you hope will bring you reassurance.

You might find that you are quick to jump to the worst case scenario and all kinds of disasters and devastation fill your mind at the drop of a hat.

Maybe your mood is low and you feel no motivation or desire to continue life.

You’re not alone. You’ve come to the right place.

In a therapy session, I will work to ensure that you are at ease and comfortable. We may engage in small talk for a little bit and I’ll tell you a little about me. In a trauma-informed manner, I’ll ask questions about your story and together we will move forward in exploring and uncovering struggles, symptoms, worries, and emotional pain. You won’t have to explore it alone - I’ll be right there, helping, seeing, guiding when needed, supporting when needed.

Sometimes I may give you homework: things you can be noticing and working on at home. Sometimes we may have a light session where no big emotions or problems seem to come up. Other times, we may have a heavier session due to outside triggers or because we’re diving deeper into the pain.

There is no right or wrong way to show up in therapy. Just show up and I’ll hold a safe, warm space for you <3
